Damascus Middle School’s KayLeigh H. Receives 4-H Livestock Club Honors

The Washington County 4-H Livestock Club held its annual awards banquet on December 16, 2016.  Led by Extension Agent Mrs. Crystal Peek, the club meets monthly and is composed of community youth who raise livestock.  In addition to helping with the Washington County Fair, the club members take trips and learn about a variety of agriculture-based topics.  Damascus Middle School eighth-grader KayLeigh H. has been a member of the Washington County 4-H Livestock Club for several years and was the recipient of four awards at the banquet!   She received Most Improved Intermediate Member and Outstanding Achievement in 4-H Market Lamb Project, 4-H Beef Cattle Project, and 4-H Equine Project.  KayLeigh’s animals keep her busy, but her investment of time and energy certainly pays off in many ways!
