Damascus Middle School Students Awarded in 4-H “Share the Fun” & Dramatic Reading Programs

Damascus Middle School 4-H members held their annual “Share the Fun” talent program and Dramatic Reading program during the regular December club meeting. Twenty-two members from the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades performed in the talent program. Talent acts included instrumental, variety, drama, dance, and vocal.  The 4-H “Share the Fun” program builds self-esteem, communication skills, and creativity, while giving members a chance to show off their special talents.  Recipients of blue ribbons in sixth grade were Laken T. and Katelyn R. in Combination, Kasey B. and Audrey O. in Dance, and Abigail G. in Instrumental.  Blue-ribbon winners in seventh grade were as follows: Rily C. in Drama, Lucy R. in Instrumental, and Addison W. in Vocal. Eighth graders who received blue ribbons were Matthew B. in Drama and Alex S. in Variety. 

In the Dramatic Reading program, nineteen members received blue ribbons for their performances of a piece of literature, as follows:  Kasey B., Matthew B., Emily C., Rily C., Ashley D., Emily H., Bryce L., Shaylee M., Sadie M., MJ M., Audrey O., Lucy R., Katelyn R., Rylee S., Carley T., Addison W., Morgan W., Lucia W., and Pearl W. Blue-ribbon winners may represent Damascus Middle School at the county competition in April.  Congratulations to these students!
