DMS 4-H Members Participate in Washington County 4-H Activity Day
The 4-H Program offers several SOL-related project areas in which youth may participate, including public speaking, dramatic reading, oral presentations, and 4-H "Share the Fun". On Saturday, March 18, elementary, middle, and high school students were given the opportunity to compete on the local level during the Washington County 4-H Activity Day, which was held at Abingdon High School. County Champions were named in each category, winning the honor to represent our county in the District 4-H Contest Day on April 20. The following Damascus Middle School students were named County Champions: Angelina A. (Dramatic Reading), Brady B. (Natural Resources and Environmental Education Presentation), Claire H. (Share the Fun Piano Instrumental), Carter N. (Child Care Presentation), Noah S. (Careers Presentation), Amanda S. (Handicrafts Presentation), and Mia T. (Small Animals Presentation). Gabriel H. also participated in the category of Dramatic Reading. Congratulations to these students!
