Damascus Middle School Students Selected for All-County Band

This audition is the first opportunity for most middle-school band students to perform for judging and requires lots of preparation and poise under pressure.  The following students were selected for this honor: Esme A. (clarinet), Aubrey F. (trombone), Ethan F. (percussion), Kainan F. (percussion), Zyleigh H. (saxophone), Zelda L. (clarinet), Mason M. (trombone), Maryn M. (flute), Levi P. (trumpet), Charlotte P. (tuba), Jayden S. (saxophone), Bailee S. (clarinet), Autumn S. (clarinet), and Jason W. (trombone). Eighth-grade student Connor L. (tuba), as well as seventh-grade students Sarah C. (percussion), Brady O. (baritone sax), and Lydia R. (tenor sax) each received the highest honor of being named first chair for their instrument. This is an amazing accomplishment for these musicians and their band directors, Mr. Bob Ballengee and Mr. Ryan Carpenter! The clinic for All-County Band will be held in January. Congratulations to these students!
