DMS’s Colt T. Awarded at North American International Livestock Exposition

Colt was born into a family for which farming is a way of life; he and his sister spend hours each day caring for their livestock. In addition to taking care of their basic needs of food, water, and shelter, Colt cleans his “girls” (heifers) daily, spending hours washing, drying, and combing their hair. All this hard work paid off at the North American International Livestock Expo held in Louisville, Kentucky. Colt’s baldie heifer earned 2nd place in her Bred & Owned class at the largest livestock show in the nation. Colt previously earned Champion Bred & Owned Simmental heifer at the State Fair of Virginia in October. Despite his excitement about winning, the competition is not what Colt enjoys most about showing cattle. His favorite part is the friends he meets while he is doing something he was born to do! Congratulations to Colt!
