On March 21, DMS was excited to welcome our latest Career Day presenter who spoke with students about his exciting career as a flight nurse. Flight nursing is a specialized kind of nursing in which nurses take care of patients who are very sick. They provide emergency care in a helicopter or plane and may care for patients and transport them from the scene of accidents or from one hospital to another. Students learned about many aspects of his job and emergency medicine overall and were even able to practice inserting an endotracheal tube on a manikin.
